As part of Family Day 2007, students and families are invited to come hear about a dynamic student competition to design and develop a prototype Virtual Student Center (VSC), with the winning team receiving a monetary award of $5,000. The VSC, accessible to all Virginia Tech students, will be student focused and a virtual space where students can go to meet online with other students; obtain academic, career, or financial services; have "coffee" with faculty; attend presentations by speakers; and engage in other university sponsored events.
