VT-ENGAGE is a new initiative joing university and community. Come on out to the Drillfield Oct. 16 from 4-7 PM and explore the many volunteer opportunities available in this area. Over 80 exhibitors from non-profit, community, and student organizations will be on hand seeking volunteers! You can pledge your service hours at this event and enjoy some free carnival food and games. Music will be provided by Virginia Tech a cappella groups, the Marching Virginians, Hightie Tighties, and local Appalachia musicians led by Sam Linkous. The event will be opened by President Charles Steger and special guests will provide short motivational speeches throughout.
