Richard Hirsch, Professor of History at Virginia Tech will highlight efforts made for improving energy efficiency in the American economy since the energy crises of the 1970's. The speaker will also perform hands-on demonstrations of compact fluorescent lights and LED lights to illustrate the technical and economic benefits of the new energy saving equipment.

The event is free and the public is invited to attend. Reservations are required.
