(Special Event)

The Hokies Thank the World event will form a message of thanks on the Drillfield.

The event will take place rain or shine.

This community-wide effort to thank the world is in search of volunteers. Participants are asked to wear orange or maroon (not required), arrive before 10:35 a.m., and visit the check-in tent on the Virginia Tech Drillfield upon arrival.

The event--coordinated by Peter Sforza of Virginia Tech's Geography Department in the College of Natural Resources--will be captured by ground, aerial, and satellite imagery. Images from the event will be aired in Lane Stadium during the 3:30 p.m. Virginia Tech versus Miami football game.
