CTSP-CPAP Information Session on DHS Honors Fellowships
(Academic)

The Center for Public Administration and Policy (CPAP) and the Center for Technology, Security, and Policy (CTSP) in the National Capital Region will hold an information session via polycom for students interested in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Honors Fellowship program. Anne Khademian, associate program chair, CPAP, and Bruce Lawlor, director of CTSP, will provide information and helpful guidelines for writing the cover letter and resume required for the application to the program.

The DHS Honors Fellowship program looks for bright professionals dedicated to protecting the nation. Those selected to join the department will have a unique opportunity to put their academic achievements, intellect, and professional experience to use during a critical time in American history. Fellows work side-by-side with experts in areas that include Policy Development, Strategic Planning, Private Sector Policy, International Affairs, Bioterrorism, Science and Technology, Immigration Policy, International Law Enforcement, Cargo, Maritime and Trade, Emergency Preparedness, Public Affairs, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, and Intelligence and Analysis.

Applicants should have keen analytical skills, a demonstrated ability to write well, and the judgement and discretion needed to operate in a vibrant, highly visible, and challenging environment. Those chosen for the program will serve for two years and, upon completing the fellowship, have the opportunity to convert to a permanent position at DHS.

Please RSVP to email below if you are interested in attending the information session.
