3:00pm 		  54th Annual Southeast Region Soil Judging Contest  
(Special Event)

Teams from 13 universities and colleges will travel to Virginia Tech to compete to qualify for the National Contest. Both are sponsored by the Student Activities Subdivision of the American Society of Agronomy. The top five teams qualify. The week-long event includes practice in describing, classifying and characterizing soils and sites for three days with a contest the fourth day. Student answers are matched with those of experts.
