Prejudice, Discrimination, Stereotyping and Culture: Implications for the American Indian Student
(Seminar/Conference)

Prejudice, discrimination, and culture intersect in today's classroom
offering many challenges to educators across the nation. Educators

ethnicity, and culture are and are not, and how the intersection of
these constructs affects students in unique ways.

Join Dr. David Oxendine as he explores and illustrates issues of
American Indian culture through tracing the history of the Lumbee
Tribe of North Carolina and the implications of race and ethnicity on
their educational systems.
