Parent of the Year awards
(Special Event)
Virginia Tech's Parent of the Year Award is given annually to a parent, family member, or family whose student has written an essay describing how their family has inspired them to be who they are today. The essay topic for this year is, "Why do you think your parent or parents should be recognized as exemplifying one or more of the Division of Student Affairs' Learning Aspirations?" Vice President for Student Affairs Edward Spencer will present the winning family with a plaque and prizes.
This will occur during the Spring Game in Lane Stadium and is part of Spring Family Weekend, April 20 to 22.
