Virginia Tech is evaluating WebEx as a tool for facilitating online meetings and distance learning. The goal of the stress test is to determine how the system performs with many users.

Kenneth Wong, professor and interim associate dean of the graduate school, will stream random content such as videos and powerpoints, and there will be an opportunity for interactive chat/speech/video.

Everyone in the NCR is encouraged to log on for the WebEx stress test. In theory, the trial version can support up to 500 clients simultaneously so feel free to invite others to join in. You can actively participate or you can mute your audio and work on something else.
