Multicultural Housing Projects
(Academic)
Wallace Hall Gallery Exhibition. The Housing students in AHRM have developed multiculturally-oriented projects to enhance their student design experience in Fall 2013. Some students improved and designed a family kitchen and dining area for a United States cultural group, defined by lifestyle, religion, ethnicity, race, rituals, or recent immigration. Other students focused on Korean culture and incorporated intergenerational living in co-housing. Their work is being presented to the Dean's Forum and the Environmental Design and Research Association.
Sponsored by: CLAHS Department Diversity Grant, Dept. of Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management (AHRM), and the Center for Real Life Kitchen Design.
