Join us for International Darwin Day and welcome Dr. Sterling Nesbitt, a new faculty member here at Virginia Tech. He is a vertebrate paleontologist studying Dinosaurs and other ancient reptiles during Earth's great transitions. Dinosaurs evolved many different forms and were widely distributed on land for over 180 million years, then most of the group became extinct 65 million years ago.

This event will be of value to K-12 teachers and other educators, as well as our many community members interested in fossils and geology. It is intended for "grownups" though interested families are certainly welcome. Watch for Hokiesaurus Presents programs for kids presented by our students later in the semester.

Please join the Museum of Geosciences for this public lecture in 4069 Derring Hall, followed by a hands-on, meet-the-scientists session in the Museum 2062 Derring.

Follow @hokiesaurus to be reminded of our programs.
