Commercializing Virginia Tech Inventions
(Greater Washington DC Metro Area)
John Geikler and Greg Hess, senior licensing managers from Virginia Tech Intellectual Properties (VTIP), will make a presentation on "Commercializing VT Inventions."
Their presentation will focus on the role of Virginia Tech inventors in commercializing their inventions. Geikler and Hess will also discuss issues associated with -- and ways to manage -- graduate student inventors who are full time employees outside Virginia Tech.
Afroze Mohammed, associate director of Strategic Alliances at Virginia Tech, will provide an overview of DC I-Corps, an NSF-supported program designed to foster, grow, and nurture an innovation ecosystem in the Mid- Atlantic Region.
This session is open to anyone who is interested or involved in new inventions, including faculty and students throughout the National Capital Region.
