5:30pm 		  Police, firefighters to play charity softball game  
(Athletics)

Local police officers, deputy sheriffs, and firefighters have teamed up with Virginia Tech Athletics for the Inaugural Montgomery County Guns & Hoses Charity Softball game.

Virginia Tech baseball plays Duke at 2:00 p.m. at English Field and the charity softball game will be played 30-45 minutes following the conclusion of the game, with an approximate start time of 5:30 p.m.

The game is free with donations being accepted at the gates. All proceeds from the event will be given to Special Olympics of Virginia. Donations may also be made at https://www.firstgiving.com/torchrunva/montgomery-county-guns-and-hoses-charity-softball
