VT ICCAE National Security Symposium
(Seminar/Conference)
The annual symposium is one of the highlights of the Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence year. It allows students from across the university and region to interact with leaders from the intelligence community, beginning with a student research poster session and keynote, and continuing on the second day with speakers, networking sessions, a career panel, and small group sessions with subject matter experts.
Wednesday: The IC Scholars poster session at 6:30pm will be followed by a keynote address by Jim Simon, founding Director of the Microsoft Institute for Advanced Technology in Governments.
Thursday: The second day of the symposium will begin at 8:00am with a morning of speakers and student networking sessions. A panel on careers in the IC and a special session with a subject matter expert will be held in the afternoon for ICCAE students. The agenda is currently being finalized and will include speakers from CIA, NSA, NGA, FBI, and MCIA.
