Visiting artist Virgil Wong will discuss the Health Cube from his exhibit in Perspective Gallery.

Chronic diseases account for 70% of deaths annually in the U.S.-more than 75% of the $2.7 trillion cost of healthcare. Virgil will discuss how good choices patients make day-to-day regarding nutrition, fitness, and stress management can reverse conditions like diabetes and heart disease and support decades of optimal health and well-being. In this presentation, Professor Wong will show how Health Time Machines are being used to help people transform behavior...and their health over time.

Virgil Wong is the Cofounder and CEO of Medical Avatar LLC, a mobile health company that cuts health care costs by optimizing patient physician communication. Professor Wong is also a visual artist who has exhibited interactive installations, films, paintings, and drawings in galleries and museums worldwide. Professor Wong currently conducts cognition technology research at Columbia University in New York.
