Please join the Virginia Center for Civil War Studies for a free screening of "Shenandoah" (1965) at Blacksburg's historic Lyric Theatre. "Shenandoah" tells the gripping story of a Virginia widower and his family trying desperately to stay out of a war that does not concern them--only to be dragged into it against their will. Prof. John Inscoe from the University of Georgia will give a talk on the historical context of the movie.
