Robot Audition
(Seminar/Conference)
Professor Kazuhiro Nakadai of Honda Research Institute will present a seminar on auditory processing for a robot. Robot audition is essential to human-robot interaction since it is expected to communicate with humans as we do. The main problem with robot audition is that the input signals captured with robot-embedded microphones is contaminated with noise sources such as environmental noise, interruption by other speakers, ego-motion noise of the robot, and so on. In this presentation, several approaches using a microphone array to solve this problem, and the integrated software platform called HARK will be introduced. More information...
