A seminar in the Research Institute Seminar Series

This talk will provide evidence that areas of the cerbral cortex are often connected in parallel by direct and trans-thalamic pathways. Dr. Sherman will offer speculation regarding why this parallel arrangement exists, what is different about these pathways, and the possible special role in brain function played by the trans-thalamic pathways.
