Using Reflection with Hands On Learning
(Academic)
Reflection and hands on learning (i.e., experiential learning) always seem to be paired together... but what exactly do we mean by reflection? A discussion? A written assignment? A complex meaning making process? This session will first explore the role that reflection and meaning making plays in how we learn. With that framing, participants will discuss a variety of settings and strategies in which reflective activities might be used to enhance learning (e.g. syndicated blogs, ePortfolios, facilitated discussion, prompt/response). Please expect interactive discussion throughout.
