Music on Mondays: PEN Trio and Friends

The Pen Trio was established in 2010 by Nora Lewis, Phillip O. Paglialonga, and Eric Van der Veer Varner to explore and expand the repertoire for the traditional Trio D'Aches. The ensemble as appeared through the United States and Canada, and has quickly become knows for the quality and energy of their performances.
The concert will feature works written in the last year by composers William Bradbury, Jenni Brandon, and Aleksander Sternfeld-Dunn. To conclude the concert, the PEN Trio will be joined by Virginia Tech faculty Wallace Easter (horn) and Tracy Cowden (piano) in a performance of Beethoven's Quintet in E-Flat major, Op.16.
