Mentors in Violence Prevention Training & Discussion
(Special Event)
Violence can start with words and seemingly innocent actions, and can develop into the horrifying news stories that come increasingly into the public eye. How can we, as possible bystanders to violent acts, prevent them from occurring? Join the Virginia Tech Women's Center and VT Engage for a training to learn how to be an active bystander and learn more about violence prevention. Stay to discuss the implications of what you learn!
This event is part of VT Engage's annual Week of Engagement. All are welcome to attend this event.
From Nov. 1-7, Week of Engagement events promote and advocate for social justice through education, service, and dialogue in the community. This year's theme is "Know Your Neighbors," and the week will be full of service and discussion events aimed to shed light on the needs of our surrounding community. More information...
