A pre-concert talk by Lee Heuermann
(Music/Theatre/Dance)
This talk explores using the voice as a vehicle for nonviolent change, and focuses on the work of Hildegard von Bingen, a medieval German writer and composer and Yeshe Tsogyal, the first woman recognized as a Tibetan female Buddha in the 8th century, as well as contemporary practitioners, such as Ani Choying Drolma and Sister Helen Prejean.
The talk will be followed by the concert "Imagining the Universe - Music, Spirituality, and Tradition."
