Free EKG screenings
(Special Event)
The Ryan Lopynski Big Heart Foundation, in partnership with Carilion Clinic Cardiology, will conduct free Electorcardiogram (EKG) screenings for Virginia Tech students.
An EKG is a noninvasive, painless test that records the electrical impulses of the heart. Just one test can discover any deviation from regular heart activity. The results are reviewed on site by cardiologists and sports physicians. The test takes seven minutes and could potentially be life saving.
Please pre-register online at ryanlopynski.org/events/heart-screening-at-virginia-tech
The Ryan Lopynski Big Heart Foundation was founded by the parents of Ryan Lopynski, a Virginia Tech student that tragically passed away in 2009 due to Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). More information...
