Thirsty for access: Women in African Water Policies - a report on the findings of a continent wide study of African water policies

Dr. Elaine Salo, associate professor of political science and international relations at the University of Delaware, will present the last Women and Gender in International Development discussion for the semester. This talk will focus on the governing processes used to ensure women's and girl's gendered access to safe water sources as a means to reducing poverty and to strengthen gender equality.
The Women and Gender in International Development Program is situated in the Office of International Research, Education and Development (OIRED). OIRED is part of Virginia Tech's Outreach and International Affairs (OIA).
