Museum of Geosciences OPEN HOUSE
(Special Event)
Stop by and learn more about the collections and hands-on resources available. Bring your "unknown" rocks and minerals: we will try to identify them.
This event will be of interest to pK-12 teachers, Virginia Master Naturalists, 4-H leaders, homeschoolers, rockhounds, and others interested in Earth Science and local geology.
The Museum is in room 2062 Derring Hall, 1405 Perry Street on the VT campus. It is Spring Break here now.
There are Disabled Parking Places adjacent to the building. However, there is construction around Derring, so others please plan to park in the Perry St. Garage and walk to Derring. If you are coming before 5pm, please get a free visitor pass from the Garage office or from the Visitor Center off Prices Fork Road. After 5pm you will not need a parking pass.
