AFSP Out of the Darkness Campus 5k Walk
(Special Event)
The first annual AFSP Out of the Darkness Campus Walk is open to the public and will be held on the Huckleberry Trail. We welcome any and all community members in Blacksburg and its surrounding areas to participate in the walk.
It is free to come, though we encourage registration online for walkers to fund-raise before the event. We ask for your support to help us raise awareness and put an end to the Stigma of suicide and depression. More than 40,000 people lose their lives every year to suicide and of these 1,100 are college age students. This is preventable, and we could see these numbers drop with the right treatments and education.
Will be a guest speaker, food, music, fun, and more. Come out and support our community! More information can be found on the AFSP registration page.
