Virginia Tech's Common Book Project presents opportunities for instructors to actively engage students in a campus-wide intellectual and community building experience. This workshop will provide basic context information and resources for the new 2015-2016 Common Book, "The Heart and the Fist," as well as focus on active learning strategies for incorporating the book into your course or program. Those attending the workshop will also participate in a brainstorming session for assignment and activity ideas for the new Common Book. Participants are also encouraged to bring Common Book assignment and activity ideas to share and discuss at the workshop.
