Economic Experiments and Real Estate Transactions
(Academic)
Dr. Artie Zillante, Chair of the Department of Economics at UNC Charlotte, will be visiting Virginia Tech's campus to discuss the use of economic experiments to study the strategic behavior of landowners and real estate developers involved in land aggregation tasks. The presentation will include a review of the software packages used to conduct these experiments; a discussion of best practices for recruiting and compensating research participants; and an overview of why economic experiments are a powerful tool to examine the negotiating behavior of parties involved in real estate transactions when primary data is unavailable.
The presentation is open to all members of the Virginia Tech community. Contact Dustin Read in the event you have any questions or would like to confirm your attendance at the event.
