3:00pm 		  Musica Viva presents: Martinu Quartet  
(Music/Theatre/Dance)

One of the premiere string quartets of the Czech Republic, the Martinu Quartet is visiting Blacksburg as part of their international tour. Known for their expressive playing and virtuosity, the quartet will perform Beethoven string quartet Op. 18 No.1 ("Romeo and Juliet"),a short work by Schulhoff, and will close with one of the most popular quartets: The "American" quartet Op.96 by Antonin Dvorak.
This is the first time this excellent quartet comes to Blacksburg.
