(Special Event)

The annual Aims of Education address is an event borrowed from the University of Chicago, and has been the signature event of the Residential College at West Ambler Johnston since its founding in 2012.

This year, we're pleased to welcome novelist & MacArthur Fellow Dinaw Mengestu to Tech. As is tradition, Prof. Mengestu will offer his thoughts on what it means to be "educated" in a more holistic sense, one that extends beyond the classroom. We're pleased to partner with the Moss Arts Center and thus to be able to open this event to the public.

The event will be followed by a book signing and the campus bookstore will have copies of his recent novels for sale.

Special seating reserved for members of the Residential College at West AJ, but ALL ARE WELCOME.
