Caribbean Slavery and the Moral Redefinition of Leprosy

Join us for a talk by Kristen Bloch, Associate Professor of History, University of Tennessee, a scholar of early modern Atlantic world who focuses on the Caribbean. Bloch, who is author of Ordinary Lives in the Early Caribbean: Religion, Colonial Competition, and the Politics of Profit, will be sharing some of her new research on how Caribbean residents defined disease and contagion.
