Ridenour Faculty Fellowship Roundtable: Financial Inclusion and Digital Platforms

More than two billion adults are estimated to lack access to the regulated financial sector. They rely on informal financial services even when they receive public transfers and remittances.
In a roundtable discussion -- a Ridenour Faculty Fellowship event -- Virginia Tech students and faculty in Blacksburg and the National Capital Region will explore the promises of digital finance which can improve, and sometimes peril, financial resilience.
They will also discuss how private firms, NGOs, and governments can further financial inclusion goals while also protecting consumers from new risks.
