Service Without Borders Nepal Assessment Trip
(Seminar/Conference)
Service Without Borders (SWB) is an interdisciplinary, student-led organization that focuses on local and international projects to provide assistance to communities in need and to provide students with real world design, project management, technical writing, construction, marketing, and fund raising experience. In January 2016, three SWB student officers and two Biological Systems Engineering (BSE) faculty traveled to Dhumba village located in Nepal's Annapurna Conservation Area to assess the earthquake damage in the culturally Tibetan community of Dhumba. This seminar will provide details about the trip, the team's cultural experiences, and the irrigation system rehabilitation project.
