Intersections: interdisciplinary conversations about social justice and the built environment
(Diversity)

Spring panel discussion of the College of Architecture and Urban Studies diversity initiative

Topic: Endurance
Panelists:
-Annie Pearce: Associate Professor, Department of Building Construction
-Kim Niewolny: Associate Professor, Department of Agricultural, Leadership, and Community Education
-Rebecca Hester: Assistant Professor, Department of Science and Technology

This initiative intends to spark conversations and create an ongoing dialogue about social justice and the built environment. By asking questions about how architecture and design can reinforce/question/break down existing social structures, the goal is to raise awareness of these issues. We hope this will lead to broad conversations across Virginia Tech and beyond.

Location: Art + Architecture Library, 100 Cowgill Hall
