Earth Day Music in the Garden
(Special Event)
Come celebrate Earth Day in the Hahn Horticulture Garden with music inspired by nature and our surroundings! The first half of the program will feature madrigals by the famed Renaissance composer Monteverdi, performed by members of the Virginia Tech String Ensemble and Voice Camerata. These pieces are all inspired by nature and love. The program's second half will feature the Virginia Tech percussion ensemble performing works composed for instruments pulled from the natural environment. Groups will be positioned throughout the gardens so attendees can walk around and enjoy the sights and the sounds!
