Learn at Lunch: Migrating Insects on the Blue Ridge Parkway

Join us on June 20th from 12pm-1pm to learn about migrating insects on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Clyde Kessler began watching insects heading south in the fall after an experience at his regular hawk-watch site on the Blue Ridge Parkway with thousands of dragonflies going by for hours. Clyde and Bruce Grimes have spent many years now keeping watch for migrating insects. They will show pictures of the species encountered and a few others known to migrate, give identification tips and more.
Meet at the Pavilion at 12 pm. Parking passes are required to park in our visitor lot. Parking is limited so please come early to grab a pass from the pavilion and find a place to park.
