  Presentation by the NSF Head of the Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences Directorate  
(Greater Washington DC Metro Area)

The Institute for Society, Culture and Environment is hosting an event featuring Dr. Arthur Lupia, Assistant Director at the National Science Foundation and Head of the Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences Directorate on Thursday, February 13, 2020.

Dr. Lupia will present "The Value of Science in a Polarized Age," in person at the East/West Falls Church Room in the Virginia Tech Research Center in Arlington, and via simultaneous broadcast to Blacksburg, location TBA. An option to participate remotely via Zoom is also available.

The in-person event will be followed by light refreshments and an opportunity to interact with Dr. Lupia. ISCE staff also will be available afterward to provide information about the ISCE Scholars Program and other ISCE-related research support at both locations.
