Auditions: "The Foreigner" by Larry Shue; directed by Susanna Rinehart
(Music/Theatre/Dance)
Performance dates: Feb.26-28; Mar 1-2, 4-5
Please prepare a comic (or serio-comic) monologue from a contemporary American play of your choosing for the general audition. Appropriate length for your monologue would be about 1 ½ - 2 minutes, and it should be rehearsed and memorized.
The callbacks will be readings from the play -- we will provide the sides from the script for that -- and likely some brief work with some of the dialects (the play includes characters native to rural Georgia; Atlanta; and London.) You should read and be familiar with the play in advance of the auditions. If needed, a limited # of scripts are available for 48-hour checkout between now and mid-November.
