The Humorous Side of the Climate Story: A workshop on the bizarre, unexpected, and delightfully weird side of climate change
(Humanities)

Journalist Sara Peach will present The Humorous Side of the Climate Story: A workshop on the bizarre, unexpected, and delightfully weird side of climate change on Friday, September 27th from 12 - 1:30pm at the Steger Hall Conference Center (1015 Life Science Circle). Lunch will be provided.

Sara Peach has spent the past 10 years reporting on climate change for National Geographic, HuffPost, Yale Climate Connections, and other publications. She'll share a few of the stranger stories she's encountered, explain the value of telling the climate story from unexpected angles, and help you think about how to talk with your friends and family about climate change in a whole new way.

This event is jointly sponsored by the Center for Humanities, the Center for Communicating Science, and the School of Public and International Affairs/Urban Affairs and Planning, with in-kind support from the Global Change Center, the Department of Communication, and Sigma Xi -The Scientific Research Society.

Please RSVP to humanities@vt.edu by September 23rd to reserve your space for this event.
