Cybersecurity has been a major global concern since the advent of the Information Age, but its role in International Relations has begun to attract broad attention relatively recently. When embedded in
cyberspace, international relations acquire a uniquely multifaceted and transdisciplinary character that spans business activities, political processes, and social dynamics. All of these are now at risk of cybermanipulation by foreign state actors at a scale not feasible with traditional means, requiring new thinking about cybersecurity and international relations.
