Breaking the Mold: Women Scientists and Engineers

Jill Tietjen, P.E., author, consulting engineer, former director of the Women in Engineering Program at the University of Colorado, and past-president of the Society of Women Engineers, will speak on Breaking the Mold: Women Scientists and Engineers. From the science of ecology to the breadbasket of Southern California, women scientists and engineers have helped make our lives better. Come hear about these invisible, but not forgotten, women.
Following the talk, a reception in the Torgersen Museum Room will include an opportunity to view the Society of Women Engineers history exhibit, Petticoats and Slide Rules.
