Post-Michigan, Now What? The Future of Diversity-Focused Outreach in Higher Education
(Seminar/Conference)
Join members of the Virginia Tech community and the Center for the Study of Race and Law at the University of Virginia as we examine the state of admission practices and procedures, financial aid, scholarship, and outreach programs in a post-Michigan, anti-affirmative action environment. Our guest speaker will be Kim Forde-Mazrui, the Justice Thurgood Marshall Research Professor and Director of the UVA Center for the Study of Race and Law. Mr. Forde-Mazrui’s research interests include race and criminal procedure, race in the child placement process, affirmative action, and reparations. This session is co-sponsored by the Office for Equal Opportunity, University Academic Advising Center, Center for Academic Enrichment and Excellence, and UVA Center for the Study of Race and Law.
