2007 National Resource Center for the First Year Experience and Students in Transition Teleconference Series Academic & Career Advising: Keys to Student Success
(Seminar/Conference)
Academic and career advising is critical in teaching our students how to move from overwhelmed first-year students to graduating seniors with meaningful and intentional career plans. Richard Light (2001) suggests that "good advising may be the single most underestimated characteristic of a successful college experience." We know it matters, but how can we improve what we do? Whatever form it takes on your campus, certain elements are essential to helping our students succeed. Join our expert panelists as they provide insight into the necessary components of career and academic advising programs.
We hope to see you there. Thank you. More information...
