CANCELED: Bellydance with Altitude: Taking the Basics to a Higher Level with Jennifer Stempien

Have the some basics bellydance moves down, but feel like your dancing is in a rut? Learn how to combine basic bellydance moves into elegant combinations to release the energy from your hips to the rest of your dance.
This 2.5 hour workshop will cover layering basic moves, walks, new combinations and finishing touches that go beyond the hips that Jennifer has developed under the guidance of a variety of bellydancers in the Denver, Colorado area.
Be prepared to sweat and have fun. This workshop is aimed for all levels of dancers; you only need to know the basics!
A Little About Jen
Jennifer has been dancing for over 6 years focusing on cabaret style bellydance with a style described as a elegant mix of vitality and sass, a high energy feel with subtle execution that shows in all of her movements. While living in Blacksburg, VA, Jennifer was a member of SWVMEDA, the adviser for Virginia Tech student group Hill and Veil from 2002-2006, taught classes at Art Pannonia and YMCA, and won 2nd place in the Rising Star division of the East Coast Classic Bellydance 2005 competition. She currently lives in Boulder, Colorado where she is learning more of expressive nature of bellydance under the tutelage of Maria from Boulder and has become the latest member of Amar Goddess Dance Company, a professional dance troupe in the Denver, CO area.
