Mark Warner, Governor of Virginia from 2002 to 2006, will speak on "Investing in Virginia's Energy Future" as part of the Virginia Tech Deans' Forum Speaker Series on Energy and the Environment.

Warner co-founded Nextel (now Sprint Nextel) and later became a founding partner of Columbia Capital Corporation, a technology venture fund in Virginia. He also launched the Virginia High-Tech Partnership. He has helped to create more than 70 telecommunications and information technology companies, many of which later went public.
