The Sowers Theoretical Physics Workshop 2007, entitled "What is String Theory?" will be held May 14-18 in Virginia Tech's Physics Department. Its purpose is to bring together leading young theoretical physicists from all over the world who are working on a variety of aspects of string theory and related fields to discuss the most recent developments and exchange new ideas. This workshop is made possible by a generous donation of Mark Sowers, friend and benefactor of the physics department. Participation is free and open to the university community.
