Energy and Environment Speaker Series

R. James Woolsey, vice president of Booz Allen Hamilton and commissioner of the National Commission on Energy Policy, will speak on "Energy, Security and the Long War of the 21st Century."
Woolsey, an outspoken advocate of energy independence and champion the environmental benefits of shifting away from fossil fuels, has held U.S. Presidential appointments in two Democratic and two Republican administrations. During his 12 years of government service, he was most recently director of Central Intelligence in 1993-95. He also served as Ambassador to the Negotiation on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe.
Woolsey joined Booz Allen Hamilton in July, 2002, as a vice president and officer. He is with the firm’s Energy practice, located in McLean, Virginia. He is currently co-chair (with former Secretary of State George Shultz) of the Committee on the Present Danger. He chairs the advisory boards of the Clean Fuels Foundation and the New Uses Council.
