Have you copied your Blackboard materials into Scholar by visiting the Transition page at "http://learn.vt.edu/transition/"? Are you wondering what you are supposed to do next? If you have questions about how to build or (re)design your course in Scholar, then this workshop is for you. This workshop will provide you with a clear plan of what needs to be done after you have copied your materials from Blackboard into your "My Workspace" Resources area within Scholar. This hands-on workshop will also guide you through the process of optimizing the placement and re-use of your Blackboard materials within your own Scholar sites. This workshop also provides an overview of course tool improvements and will offer a brief comparison of tools between Scholar and Blackboard. The majority of this workshop will be spent in hands-on activities intended to assist you with the process of (re)creating your course within Scholar. Opportunities to learn time-saving tips and tricks will be provided and those looking to create new materials for courses are also highly encouraged to attend. OCS and Learning Technologies staff will be on hand to answer questions and to provide guidance.
