Online learning provides access to education for people who otherwise would not be able to attend school due to their particular schedule and location. If done properly, distance learning can also provide increased access to individuals with disabilities.

You can help increase diversity at Virginia Tech by designing your online course with this audience in mind. In this workshop, you will learn about the issues people with disabilities face, and the techniques you can use to develop web-based educational resources that are accessible to all.
