New Metropolis Lecture Series

Paul E. Ceruzzi, curator, Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Washington, DC, will discuss Internet Alley: High Technology in Tysons Corner, 1945-2005.
Ceruzzi will provide highlights from his recent book, Internet Alley, about the origins and growth of high technology in Northern Virginia. Focusing specifically on Tysons Corner and the Dulles corridor, he will relate the interesting relationship between high tech and the economic development of Fairfax Country.
Ceruzzi has also authored other books, including A History of Modern Computing (2nd ed., MIT Press 2003) and is co-editor of The Internet and American Business (MIT Press 2008). He earned a B.A. from Yale University and a Ph.D. in American Studies from the University of Kansas.
